Merchant Downtown Dollars
These vouchers are available in $5, $10, and $25 denominations. Downtown Dollars are sold and distributed by Downtown Salmon Arm (DSA). These vouchers can be accepted at the till of any participating Downtown Salmon Arm business in lieu of traditional payments and that business will be reimbursed for the full value by Downtown Salmon Arm.

How they work
When a customer wishes to pay with a Downtown Dollar:
- Check for authenticity: These vouchers are serialized and printed on a heavy plasticised paper stock, with layers of paper sandwiching a plastic layer.
- Contact the Downtown Salmon Arm office by email or phone to make arrangements to be reimbursed for the full amount of the voucher. DSA will issue you an E-transfer or upon request a cheque.
- If you have any concerns about counterfeiting, do not accept the voucher. Contact the DSA office to report the incident immediately.
A few things of Note
- Downtown Dollars do not expire and can be accepted year round.
- Treat the Downtown Dollar voucher(s) as CASH, providing change if required. A customer may use more than one voucher at a time.
- Please do not deface/stamp/staple or write on these vouchers as they can be recirculated.
