The Downtown Live music series is back! Every Saturday in the summer Downtown Salmon Arm is thrilled to be offering live musical performances at the Ross Street Stage. Each show coincides with the Downtown Farmer’s Market 9am – 1pm, May – October, 2024. We look forward to welcoming live music and arts to our streets.

Busk Stop
Downtown Salmon Arm facilitates Salmon Arm’s registered busking program BuskStop. This is a permit-based program with a limited number of permits and is first come, first serve model. Downtown Salmon Arm values the character and vibrancy Buskers bring to our downtown core.
If you would like to participate in the BuskStop program please contact our office: projects@salmonarmdowntown.com or phone 250-832-5440. As a participant, you will have the ability to select your performance location from 9 designated BUSKSTOPS. Interested performers must submit, in person, a completed application, including a signed agreement confirming knowledge and adherence to the Service Agreement for Downtown Salmon Arm BuskStop Permit holders.
City of Salmon Arm Bylaw officers will be provided with a list of all permitted performers. Additionally, permits should be visible to entertainers during all performances in Downtown Salmon Arm. This agreement is strictly limited to the Downtown Salmon Arm Business Improvement Association boundary and these BuskStop locations.
Application Process
- Applications can be downloaded here or by email request to projects@salmonarmdowntown.com. Once completed, applications must be submitted in person, by appointment only, to the Downtown Salmon Arm office located at 250 Shuswap Street NE, please call to set up your appointment time: (250) 832-5440. Performers must provide a working phone number or email address.
- Once approved, the performer will set up an appointment with DSA staff to obtain their Busking permit. By that time, the performer will be noted as a BuskStop Permit holder by City of Salmon Arm Bylaw Officers.
- Payment of $20/permit is required in cash only. Permits are valid through March 31, 2024. Lost or damaged permit replacements will be $10, cash only
Downtown Live - Farmer's Market performances
The Downtown Live Music Series is back for 2026, bringing vibrant sounds, and lively energy to the heart of Downtown Salmon Arm every Saturday throughout the summer!
Hosted at the Ross Street Stage, Downtown Live runs alongside the Downtown Farmers' Market, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxed morning of shopping, socializing, and soaking up live music. From May through October, residents and visitors alike can enjoy a rotating lineup of musicians and performers that celebrate the creativity and culture of our community.
